Work over Easter: you have all been given past papers to work through. Make sure they are completed.

Goodbye Lenin
Unless Mr Ramsey demands the hall for Year 11 target practice, we hope to show Goodbye Lenin from 1.20 onwards. I will stop the film occasionally to point out key points but promise not to do this too often. The film will be over by 3.00. This is such an important film, it deserves a proper showing.

Raumforschung
Use this document to write an article with a set of counter arguments, defending space exploration. We'll do some preparatory work in class. Hopefully next week, the last day of term, we can watch 'Goodbye Lenin'. Watch this space. No pun intended.
Your other task is to look at this article and work out why the Japanese are launching a paper plane from a space station. Toblerones will be awarded to the most detailed and linguistically astute answers.

Year 13 IB German
Die Prüfungen nähern sich - Donnerstag 14. Mai ist der Tag.
We are going to do lots of exam-type work and practice assessments.
But we can't ignore big news items such as the Amoklauf and the issues it raises.
Gory and depressing, sorry. Have a look at recent news on this from the Tagesschau site or for even juicier material look at bild.de
The next piece of work is due when I next see you on March 27th. Do 80 words based around these 3 questions: 1) Was ist in Winnenden passiert? 2) Was wissen wir über den Täter? 3) (Wie) können wir diese Tragödien verhindern?

I would like the four of you who missed today's lesson to bring a letter of explanation, countersigned by a parent. If not, you will be staying until 4.30 next Friday.

orals approach!
A useful session today, especially the one in the cafe. Use the sample oral questions to help you prepare for the third section (general conversation).

Welcome to IB German Year 2
Welcome to the IB German Year 2 site. In view of the number of lessons that we may lose through snow, fire, earthquakes etc this seems to be a way of ensuring that we maintain communication and momentum.
You need to be working hard on your oral preparation. It will help to listen to German on sites such as Euronews
